Sam Worthington (full name Samuel Worthington) was born on August 2, 1976, in Perth, Australia
He got in the field of acting at the age of 17 when went with his girlfriend to the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney. There, he suddenly had an idea to audition and got selected to the school.
After completing his learning at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, he appeared in a number of local theatrical ventures. In 2000, he landed a small role in the show "JAG" for an episode. After that, he appeared in a number of movies and TV shows. In 2002, he was seen in the movies "Dirty Deeds" and "Hart's War".
It wasn't until 2004 that Sam Worthington received some better roles.
He appeared in lead role in the movie "Somersault" and it earned him the Australian Film Institite's Best Lead Actor award. He was seen in some TV shows in his country, like "The Surgeon".
In 2006, he got the title role in a remake of "Macbeth". The following year, Sam Worthington acted in the horror movie "Rogue".
In 2009, he got the offer to act in the James Cameron directed movie, "Avatar". His next projects include "Terminator Salvation" and "Last Night".
