Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) was an Austrian philosopher, originally a theosophist, who developed his own mystic and spiritual teaching, anthroposophy, designed to develop the whole human being. His method of teaching is followed by a number of schools named after him, but the schools also include the possibilities for pupils to take state exams.
