Roxette is a Swedish pop band, formed of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Roxette came out of Sweden in the late '80s, with 31 chart-busting pop-singles.

They started getting famous after releasing "The Look" in 1989, followed up with the über-platinum album "Joyride" in 1991.
They had multiple hits, as their latest album, "Room Service".

Originally in 1986 Roxette gave its first debut album " Pearls of Passion". Roxette tours Sweden in 1987, playing for 100,000 people in open-air festivals throughout the country.

"It Must Have Been Love" was a huge hit from the album "Christmas For The Broken Hearted" which dominated through the Swedish airwaves.
Roxette had several other hits as, "Look Sharp!", "The Look" and "Listen to your heart".
Roxette releases the new greatest hits album "The Ballad Hits" in 2002, with the new song "A Thing About You" which becomes a rather sizable radio hit.
Roxette is back for the 20th anniversary and releases the "RoxBox", another collection named "A Collection of Roxette - Hits! Their 20 Greatest Songs" and the single "One Wish."

Why are they famous?

The are famous for their Hip hop music for the last twenty years.
