Rona Ambrose was born on 15th March 1969 in Valley View, Alberta Canada. She is the minister of public works and Government Services. She is the Vice-Chair of the Treasury Board Cabinet Committee.

Biography and career:
Rona Ambrose grew up in both Brazil and Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Victoria and Master of Arts in political science from University of Alberta. Rona Ambrose is a minister in Prime Minister Stephen Harper's ministry.
Rona Ambrose started her career as a political columnist in Alberta public service and also worked as an independent consultant in public policy issues. She was fir
st elected as a Member of Parliament in 2004. She was re-elected in 2006 and 2008.
In 2006, Ambrose was appointed as the Minister of Environment in 2006. In 2008, she was appointed as the Minister of Labor. In 2010, she was appointed as the new minister of public works and government services.
As a minister of Environment, Ambrose passed the Clean Air Act which proposed to reduce the greenhouse gasses in 2020. This was to meet the Kyoto accord. As a minister of Labor, Rona Ambrose was instrumental in resolving strikes at Via Rail, Ottawa's public transit system and Canadian National railways.
She is also credited for representing the government for negotiating accord for several international labor co-operation accord that protect human's and worker's rights.
In 2007, Ambrose was appointed as the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada. Ambrose has the prenomial 'the Honorable' and postnomial 'PC' for life by the virtue of becoming the member of Queen's Privy Council for Canada.
Rona Ambrose is married to Bruce Ambrose and now lives in Edmonton. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French languages. She has a long history of being associated for women's rights. Her community service includes WinHouse Edmonton Women's shelter and Sexual Assault Center of Edmonton. She has also served as the coach for the conservative party charity hockey team.
