Biography and Career:

Ron Perlman (full name Ronald Francis Perlman) was born on April 13, 1950, in Washington Heights, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Lehman College and then completed Master of Fine Arts from University of Minnesota.

In 1981, he acted in the movie “La Guerra du feu” (“Quest For Fire”) as Amoukar and earned a Genie nomination. His next movies were “The Ice Pirates” (1984) and “The Name of the Rose” (1986). He also acted in the TV show Beauty and the Beast as Vincent. For this, he received a Golden Globe Award.

In 1992, he appeared in the movie “Sleepwalkers” and in 1993 he appeared in a number of movies including “When the Bough Breaks”, “Double Exposure”, “The Adventures of Huck Finn” and “Cronos”. He gave voice to the movie “Fluke” (1995) and then was seen in the movies “The Last Supper” (1995), “The Island of Dr. Moreau” (1996) and “Prince Valiant” (1997).

After these, he acted in a number of mainstream Hollywood movies which included “Alien: Resurrection” of 1997.

In 1998, he entered the television show, The Magnificent Seven, as Josiah Sanchez. Ron Perlman also kept working in movies like “Stroke” (2000), “Enemy at the Gates” (2001), “Down” (2001), “Boys on the Run” (2001) and “Blade II” (2002).

2003 was a packed year for Ron Perlman. He acted in movies like “Hoodlum & Son”, “Two Soldiers”, “Absolon”, “Rats” and “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”. He also voiced characters in “Lords of Everquest”, “True Crime: Streets of LA” and “Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu”.

2004 saw Ron Perlman in the movie “Hellboy” and then, in 2005, he acted in “Missing in America”. He did voice work for “Tarzan II”. Apart from these, Perlman also lent his voice to a number of video games like Gun, Teen Titans and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

In 2006, he worked in the movies “How to Go Out on a Date in Queens” and “Local Color”. His voice was heard in the video games Justice League Heroes, Conan and Halo 3. He also voiced in the movie “Terra”.

His movies in 2008 included “Hellboy II: The Golden Army”, “Streetlight”, “The Dark Country”, “The Mutant Chronicles”, “Killer By Nature” and “Outander”. He voiced the video games Fallout 3 and Hellboy: The Science of Evil.
He is also set to act in the TV show Sons of Anarchy.
