Biography and Career:
Robin Quivers was born in the Pikesville area of Baltimore, Maryland. Her mother, Quivers, a homemaker and housekeeper, and her father, Charles Quivers Sr., was a steelworker at Bethlehem Steel. Both her parents are not well educated. They have studied up to 7th grade.
She has an older brother, Charles Quivers Jr. She had a difficult childhood and a bad pre-teen as her father was molesting her on several occasions. Quivers attended the University of Maryland. She graduated in nursing in 1974.
She started nursing at Maryland Shock Trauma, the shock trauma facility of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System. In
1975, Quivers joined the United States Air Force and was appointed as a Second Lieutenant. In June, 1978, she became the Captain.
Quivers developed interest for the radio industry during her three year time in the Air Force. She was in touch with radio stations. In 1979, she attended Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, Baltimore and then took a news position WIOO, an AM station in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Later, she worked for WCMB, and then WFBR. She was a brave lady and tackled many serious subjects and people related issues.
Robin Quivers has worked for nearly two decades on the popular, controversial 'Howard Stern Show' morning radio broadcast. As a result, Quivers has been hailed the most popular female radio personality in the U.S. In 1997, she made her debut film in Howard Stern's autobiographical comedy 'Private Parts'.
In 1990, Quivers underwent breast reduction surgery. Quivers had a long-time boyfriend by name Tony from mid-1990s to April 2007. On 23rd April 2007, she announced their separation in the 'Bubba the Love Sponge Show' on Howard 101.
She has written about her father troubling her during her pre-teens in her autobiography 'Quivers: A Life' that was released in April 1995.
