Rita Granberry was born on February 5, 1979, in New York. She kept away from television and was more involved with books and music.

In 2003, she got her first television smash courtesy of Howard Stern. Her appearance in the show raised its rating sky high and the episode was aired again after two weeks. This gave her enough publicity and Rita G was soon seen in a number of films and magazines. She starred in the movie The Luckiest Bachelor on Earth (2004). Till date she has appeared in over twelve editions for Playboy magazine.

She kept on appearing in magazines like King, Escape and Black Gold, apart from her almost regular appearances in Playboy. She also spiced up several calendas. Apart from the print and TV, Rita G has also featured on a sex column for e-crap. She also keeps appearing in the radio show of Dr. Dre.
She reached the height of her career when she featured in the lead spot for Kanye West's music video "Flashing Lights".
