Rebecca Budig had her debut in an Aerosmith music video to the song Living on the Edge. Later she had a short role in Batman Forever. In 1995, even if she participated to the cast for the role of Kelsey Jefferson, on All My Children, she received the role of Greenlee Smythe, a role that she accepted only in 1999.
From 1995 to 1998 she was played Michelle Bauer in Guiding Light. Also, in 1995 she was a part from the cast of the Captain Nuke and the Bomber Boys. In 1996 she interpreted Babsy in James Dean: A Race with Destiny. In 1997 she was Allie in Bonehead Detectives in the Paleo World.
For her role as Greenlee Smythe in the soap opera All My Children, Rebecca Budig received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Support Actress in a Drama Series in 2001. She won again the same award in 2003 and, as a plus, a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress.
