Razvan Rat (full name Razvan Dinca Rat) was born on May 26, 1981 in Slatina, Olt, Romania. He is a famous Romanian football player.
Biography and Career :
He started playing football at Nicolae Dobrin's Football School in Pitesti, but his professional career started in 1998 when he signed with Rapid Bucharest.
His first game for Rapid was on April 21, 1999 against Ceahlaul Piatra-Neamt and his team won with 4-0.
In the first season for Rapid he played only in three games, but they won the championship.
The next season he played in 20 games and scored once.
In 2000-2001 he played half of the season for Rapid and half for FCM Bacau, totally in 19 games and scored two times.
The next season wasn't very good for him because he started it playing for Rapid's satellit
e, Electromagnetica Bucharest.
He turned back to Rapid and became a basic player.
In the season 2002-2003 he won the champion title and was remarked by the scouters from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Ukrainian team transferred him and in short time he became an important player in the first "eleven".
In the first season for Shakhtar Razvan Rat played in 27 games and scored once and won the vice-champion title and also the Ukrainian Cup.
Next season Mircea Lucescu became the coach of Shakhtar and they won the champion title two times in consecutive years and played 37 games and scored twice.
In the European Cups Razvan Rat played in the UEFA Cup with Rapid Bucharest and in UEFA Champions league with Shakhtar, totally in 14 games but didn't score.
His debut in the National Romanian Team was on February 13, 2002 in a friendly game against France ended with a defeat for his team, 2-1. He played for Romania in 35 games and succeeded to score once.
