Rama Yade was born on December 13, 1976, in Dakar, Senegal. She had two professors as her parents. Her father had been the personal secretary of the first president of Senegal, Leopold Sedar Senghor.
When she was a kid, her parents divorced and she moved to Paris with her mother. She is a graduate from Institut d'etudes politiques. Rama Yade is a Muslim by faith.
Rama's worked at Paris Town Hall and National French Assembly after completing graduation in 2000. In 2002, she rose to the rank of administrator in the French Senate. Rama Yade joined the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) in 2005 and, in 2006, she was appointed Francophonie's national secretary. She considers Nicolas Sarkozy as her influence in the politica
