Raica Oliveira was born on January 22, 1984 in the city of Niteroi, Brazil, just across the bay from the hottest peninsula in the world, Rio de Janeiro. The black-haired, olive-skinned Raica (pronounced "Hi-ka") knew by age 10 that she would be a model.

Biography and Career :

She provides further proof that the place for stunning, sun-sanctified women is Brazil, currently among the world's leading exporters of beautiful models.

But it's not just her looks that she has going for her. Like many of her countrywomen, Raica Oliveira displays an exuberance and love for life, making her that much more of a pleasure to watch and work with.

She is young, rich and famous, but still maintains a joyful innocence and modesty about herself.

This appealing personality aside, the mere sight of Raica Oliveira on billboards and magazines makes us want to get slicked up at the fashion stores and buy the first plane ticket to her native Brazil.

She was one of the most talked about models of the season alongside fellow Elite stars Adriana Lima, Maggie Rizer, Oluchi and Karen Elson, and she continued so the seasons later on.

In February 2007 she appeared in Sports Illustrated. She is good friends with fellow Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima and Brazilian top model Ana Beatriz Barros. In March 2007 Oliveira joined IMG Paris and she also appeared in Ann Taylor advertisements. On September 2007 she appeared in Bandolino ads which was featured in Vogue and INStyle. She is the new face of Avon.
