Rachel Hurd-Wood (full name Rachel Clare Hurd-Wood) was born on August 17, 1990, in London, England. Her father was associated with the entertainment industry. She was active in acting and participated in plays in her school. She also likes ice skating. She also wanted to be a marine biologist. But this all changed soon.

In 2003, Rachel auditioned in the movie "Peter Pan" and bagged the role of Wendy. Her role got her a couple of award nominations including the Young Artist and Saturn Awards.

In 2004, she starred in "Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking" in UK. Her next movies were "An American Haunting" and "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" in 2006.
