Ron B. Kitaj (1932-2007) was an American painter and printmaker, active in Britain. Short Biography:
His work is mainly figurative, and his distinctive decorative pale palette was in part inspired by studies of the Impressionist Degas.
Much of Kitaj's work is outside the predominant avant-garde trend and inspired by diverse historical styles. Some compositions are in triptych form.
