Richard Alexander Walter George Gloucester, Duke of Gloucester (born in 1944) is the Prince of the United Kingdom. Short Biography:
Grandson of George V, he succeeded his father to the dukedom owing to the death of his elder brother Prince William (1941-1972) in an air crash.
He married in 1972 Birgitte van Deurs, daughter of a Danish lawyer. His heir is his son Alexander, Earl of Ulster (1974).
