United States. He is an american musician, composer, songwriter and record producer.
Biography and Career:
Prince's father performed along with a jazz group named Prince Rogers Trio. He was born with epilepsy. He joined along with a friend, Andre Anderson, his cousin's band named Grand Central. In 1976, Prince made a demo tape with the help of Chris Moon and has send it to Owen Husney.
They signed a contract and Prince recorded another demo at Sound 80 Studios from Minneapolis. Columbia Records, A&M and Warner Bros. became interested in him. He signed with Warner Bros. finally.
In 1977 he was a part of the band named 94 East, along with Andre Cymone, Marcy Ingvoldstad, Pepe Willie and Kristie Laze
nberry. In the same year they released an album named Minneapolis Genius – The Historic 1977.
On April 17, 1978, Kristie Lazenberry. Released his solo album. The song Just as Long as We're Together had a number 91 position in the Hot Soul Singles Chart. In 1979 he released another album, self titled which reached number 4th position on the Billboard Top Albums and 22nd position in Billboard 200.
In 1980 he released the 3rd album and named it Dirty Mind. This was very controversy for that time. In 1982, another double album was sold in 3 million copies and was titled 1999. From it, the song Delirious encountered a real success and obtained a top ten position in the charts.
