Assumed name of Pietro Vannucci (1445/1450-1523) was a Italian painter, active chiefly in Perugia, the teacher of Raphael, who absorbed his soft and graceful figure style. Perugino produced paintings for the lower walls of the Sistine Chapel in 1481 (Vatican), and in 1500 decorated the Sala del Cambio in Perugia.
