Biography and Career:

Peter Ostrum practices veterinary medicine in Glenfield, New York and lives nearby along with his wife and their two children.

When he was in the 6th grade, Peter Ostrum was discovered by some agents that were looking for someone to play the Charlie Bucket's character in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. He lived for five months in Munich, Germany. After this, he declined any other film contract, even if he had 3 offers.

For some time, Peter Ostrum eschewed the publicity and concentrated to his studies. He even lied the people, telling them that his brother was playing in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and not him. Even Lorett a, his wife, founded about this only when she met his mother.

Since then, Peter Ostrum speaks once a year to the students from Lowville Academy and he participated to a recording of a special documentary DVD, along with his co-stars from the movie.
