Peter Debye Peter Debye (1884-1966) was a Dutch physicist.

Short Biography:

A pioneer of X-ray powder crystallography, he also worked on polar molecules, dipole moments, and molecular structure. Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1936.

In 1940, he went to the USA where he was professor of chemistry at Cornell University 1940-1952.
