Percy Molesworth Sykes (1867-1945) was a English explorer, soldier, and administrator who surveyed much of the territory in South-West Asia between Baghdad, the Caspian Sea, and the Hindu Kush during World War I (1914-1918).Short Biography:
In 1894 he was the first British consul to Kerman (now in Iran) and Persian Baluchistan. Later he raised and commanded the South Persian Rifles. His histories of Persia and Afghanistan were published in 1915 and 1940.
