Paul Revere (1735-1818) was an American nationalist, a Boston silversmith.Short Biography:
He carried the news of the approach of British troops, intent on seizing military stores, to Lexington and Concord on the night of 18 April 1775. Longfellow's poem "Paul Revere's Ride" commemorates the event.
Revere's silver Sons of Liberty punchbowl in 1768 (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, USA) is his best-known piece. He also produced propaganda prints exposing British atrocities in the war.
