Paul Grigore - poet. Also essayist. Born on May 17th 1952 at Comirzana (Satu Mare). Died on June 3rd 1989 in Bucharest.
His parents were peasants. After graduating from the secondary school in Negreşti, Oaş, he graduated in 1978 from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Craiova. His literary career started in 1981. when he contributed a critical article to the “Astra” literary review. He contributed poems and criticism to the following literary reviews: “Astra”, “Amfiteatru”, “Cariatide”, “Poesis”, “Steaua”, and others.
His editorial debut was posthumous: Illuminated Manuscripts / Anluminura (Litera, 1991). Another posthumous publication is Diotima in Writing / Diotima din scriitura (Poesis, nr. 1, 1992). Most of the author’s literary creation is still in manuscript
He was included in the Anthology of the Poetry of the ‘80s Generation/ Antologia poeziei generatiei ‘80 edited by Alexandru Muşina (Vlasie, 1993) and in The Anthology of Romanian Poetry / Antologia poeziei româneşti culte edited by Florin Şindrilaru (Teora, 1998). The author’s writings were reviewed by Ovidiu Moceanu.
