She went to Oakland Community College. At the beginning of her career she was a fashion model, signing a contract with Wilhelmina Model Agency. The role that brought her great success was in the TV series 'Mork & Mindy'.
Other movies in which she played are 'My Sister Sam', 'Stay Tuned', 'The Pirates of Penzanceand', 'A Wedding'.
On March 21, 1987 she got married to Mark Harmon and they had two children. On April 26, 1988 was born Sean Thomas Harmon and on June 25, 1992 was born Ty Christian Harmon.
