Olivia Thirlby was born on October 6, 1986, in New York. She was ambitious about having a career in acting and also acted in school plays and in the American Globe Theatre. She also took lessons in acting and combat.

In 2003, she acted in "The Secret", the first movie directed by actor Vincent Perez. In 2006, Olivia came back with the movie "United 93" which received nomination at the Oscar. She also acted in the short movie "Unlocked" and then in "Snow Angels". The latter one entered the Sundance Film Festival. Olivia was also cast in the series "Kidnapped" on NBC.
