Biography and Career :

Odalys Garcia started by taking dance lessons at “Casa de la Cultura Municipal” de Miramar when she was five years old. At nine, she was admitted to the Alicia Alonso School of Ballet.

When she was 13 years old, Odalys Garcia arrived in Miami, where she started her career in modeling. In 1991, Odalys Garcia was cast to host Noche de Gigantes (Night of the Giants) by Univision, alongside Don Francisco. Odalys Garcia and Don Francisco became friends during the two years she was in the show, and she started to become famous to Hispanic audiences.

Starting with "Noches de Gigantes" i n 1991, and moving to "De Pelicula" (1991), Odalys Garcia gained widespread fame as the host of the Candid-Camera type show "Lente Loco". Currently the national spokeswoman for Bally's Total Fitness Latin marketing campaign, Odalys Garcia resides in Miami and is the producer of her very popular and best-selling calendar.

During the first year of release more than 500,000 copies were sold, and Odalys Garcia has had continued success year after year. Odalys Garcia is recording her debut album, which is being produced by A.B. Quintanilla, the brother of the late-Tejana superstar, Selena.
