Novak Djokovic was born on May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, Serbia. He is a young and talented tennis player.
Biography and Career :
He is currently (2007) living in Monte Carlo and his coach is Marian Vajda. Since he became a professional in 2003 he has won five tournaments: Amersfoort, Metz, Adelaide, Miami Masters and Estoril.
Regarding his Grand Slam participations he played at the US Open in 2005 and 2006 into the third round and stopped there each time. At Wimbledon he played in 2006 until the fourth round.
In 2007, until now, he played a semi-final at the French Open, but stopped there because he was beaten by Rafael Nadal, eventually the winner of the title. Also in 2007 he played into the fourth roun
d at the Australian Open.
In 2006 he participated at the Hopman Cup along Ana Inanovic and they almost played the final, but unfortunately missed it. They are also good friends. Another tennis player who is a close friend is Andy Murray.
