Nigella Lawson Nigella Lawson (full name Nigella Lucy Lawson) was born on January 6, 1960 in London, England, UK. She is a popular television personality, journalist and cookery writer.

Biography and Career :

She attended Godolphin and Latymer School, Westminster School and Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. She has a degree in Medieval and Modern Languages.

Her career began with her restaurant column writings for 'The Spectator' and 'The Observer' and then continued as a deputy literary editor of the 'Sunday Times'. She was chosen newspaper-reviewer on BBC1 Sunday-morning TV program 'Breakfast with Frost' and was the co-host of Channel 4 books discussion program, 'Booked'.

She became culinary sidekick on Nigel Slater's 'Real Food' Show on Channel 4 and between 1999 and 2001 had the 'Nigella Bites' show. In 2002 she hosted 'Forever Summer with Nigella' and in 2005 'Nigella'.

She wrote a book, 'Feast' and based on it, there was a television show, 'Nigella Feasts', of course hosted by her in 2006. 'Nigella Lawson' by Gilly Smith is her autobiography published in 2005. One year later she hosted the television show 'Nigella's Christmas Kitchen'. At the British Book Awards in 2001 she was elected author of the year.

In 1992 she decided to marry John Diamond, but unfortunately, he died on March 2, 2001. They have two children: Cosima and Bruno. On September 3, 2003 she remarried with Charles Saatchi.
