Nick Cave (full name Nicholas Edward Cave) was born on September 22, 1957, in Warracknabeal, Australia. His first musical performance was in a local church choir and afterwards he founded the band named The Boys Next Door in the beginning of the 1970s.
Even after changing their name to The Birthday Party, the band broke up and then Nick Cave formed the band “Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds” with other fellow musicians. Their first album From Her to Eternity came in 1984.
In 1988 Nick cave released King Ink, a compilation of lyrics and plays. That year, the novel And the Ass Saw the Angel was published and it received high responses from the public. During the next 10 years, his band released total 8 albums, each of whic
h did quite well in the market.
With the album The Boatman’s Call, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds earned the most revenue and praises they had done so far. During this time, he also wrote the The Proposition, a screenplay which was later on made into a movie.
Nick Cave is presently upholding his band and their latest album Dig, Lazarus, Dig. He has also written another screenplay by the name of Death of a Ladies’ Man. He is also associated with a side project named Grinderman.
