Mitchell Olson was a member of CBS SURVIVOR: THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK, which was the 2nd season. Since then he has performed on David Letterman, Rosie O'donnell, Ricki Lake, Hollywood Squares, to name a few. He has a degree in Music Performance from South Dakota State University, and grew up in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Currently Mitchell Olson is the producer of a new sitcom he co-created and co-wrote with Sandra Longo and Liz Finn-Arnold. In 2009 a reality show will begin being filmed surrounding his life, and he continues to work in theater both as an actor and writer.
Mitchell is a judge for the state pageants of Miss America, and has held that position since 2003. He hosts the Miss South Dakota pageant each year, and has done so for 8 years in a row.
He was a potential suitor for Anna Nicole Smith in her second season debut of her reality show, and they built a strong bond that they shared until her untimely death in 2007.
Prior to his time on Survivor, he was a contestant on The Price Is Right (and also part of the Price Is Right reunion shows, as he was one of Bob Barkers favorite contestants). Also was on The Wheel Of Fortune.
