Mihaita Plesan (full name Mihaita Paunel Plesan) was born on February 19, 1982 in Moldova-Noua, Romania. He is a Romanian football player.
Biography and Career :
Mihaita Plasen started to play football at Universitatea Craiova's juniors at 13 years old and he debuted for Universitatea Craiova in A Division (first Romanian league) on the 14th of April 2001 in a game against SC Astra Ploiesti.
Unfortunately for him his first and only game played in the season 2000-2001 was lost with 1-0. At the end of the season his team was in danger to be annulled because his boss Gigi Netoiu after a conflict with the officials and the fans in Craiova took the most of the good players and went to Dinamo Bucharest, Craiova great "enemy". Mihaita Plesan stayed at Craiova and the team was bou
ght by another business man, Dinel Staicu.
In the next season played more for the first team in 19 games and even succeeded to score his first goal.
In the season 2003-2004 Universitatea Craiova with
Mircea Rednic as a coach succeeded to end on the 4th place in the championship and Mihaita Plesan scored 4 goals in 24 games. The next season was disastrous for "Stiinta" and in the end they felt in B Division (the second Romanian league). In this season Mihaita Plesan was the captain of the team but because of the conflict in the directory department of the team he could not do anything to stop the falling of Craiova.
At the half of the season
Gheorghe Hagi, the coach of Galatasaray Istambul asked for him and offered 3 millions euro but the transfer wasn't made.
At the beginning of the season 2005-2006 Mihaita Plesan and other 4 basic players for Universitatea Craiova signed for Dinamo Bucharest. He played there only a half of season and in 12 games scored 2 goals, one of them against Dinamo's great rival Rapid Bucharest. Gheorghe Hagi became FCU Poli Timisoara's coach and asked again for Mihaita Plesan, so he was transferred there for 800.000 euro. He didn't play too much because some injuries which kept him a long period out of the football field.
In the European Cups he played only in the season 2005-2006 with Dinamo Bucharest in UEFA Cup where they succeeded to qualify in the groups phase after they eliminated Everton.
In a group with TSKA Moscow, Heerenven, Levski Sofia and Olimpique Marseille they won 1 game against TSKA , the ex-winner of UEFA Cup and ended equally against Heerenven and Olimpique Marseille. Plesan played in 4 games.
Mihaita Plesan debuted at the Romanian national team on the 16th of November 2003 in a game against Italy when Romania lost with 1-0. In the next game, which was his best for Romania, Plesan scored a fabulous goal in Kahn’s goal. He also played against Slovakia, Netherlands and Armenia.
