Michael J. Fox (real name Michael Andrew Fox) was born on June 9, 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He is a Canadian/American film and television actor.
Biography and Career :
Some of his best know appearances are in movies as the Back to the Future trilogy, Family Ties and Spin City. He won four Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for the roles in the mentioned movies.
He didn't spend his childhood in one place due to his father's career as a member of the Canadian Forces. Finaly they moved and sttled in Burnaby, British Columbia after his father's retirement in 1971. There he studied at Burnaby Central Senior Secondary. After co-starring "Leo and Me", a television series in 1979, Michael had to move to Los Angeles for a better chance in his acting career.
There he managed to receive a role in "Letters from Frank" a television movie. One of his first and most important roles was in a television show called "Family Ties".
