Megan Mullally was born on 12th November 1958 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American actress, singer and media personality.

Biography and Career:

Megan was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Martha, was a model and her father, Carter Mullaly, Jr., is a retired contract player with Paramount Pictures during the 1950s. At the age of seven, Mullally moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her parents. She used to practice ballet from age of six years and during high school she performed in a ballet company.

She graduated from Casady School. Later, she attended Northwestern University, Chicago to study acting. But she left it and studied English literature Art History. She was dropped out after two years. She started acting in local theatres and for six years, she worked in Chicago theatre.
In 1981, she moved to Los Angeles.

She started appearing for many small roles in films and televisions like Murder, She Wrote with Angela Lansbury. In 1985, she co-starred in 'Grease' with Rosie O'Donnell, and in 1995, in 'How To Succeed In Business' with Matthew Broderick.

Her debut film was as a call girl in 'Risky Business' and has appeared in small roles in the films 'Stealing Harvard', 'Anywhere but Here' and the Martin Lawrence comedy 'Rebound'.

From 1998 till 2006, she played Karen Walker on the TV sitcom Will & Grace. She won two Emmy Awards as the 'Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series', three 'Screen Actors Guild Awards', and was nominated four times for a 'Golden Globe Award'.

From 2006 until early 2007, Mullally hosted the talk show The Megan Mullally Show, but it was cancelled due to poor ratings. She has since appeared in guest roles in several television programs.

Mullally is now working on a new Broadway musical entitled Karen: The Musical.

Mullally married Michael A. Katcher in 1992 and divorced in 1996. Later, she married Nick Offerman on 20th September 2003 and living with him.
