Max Winkler is one of the German famous people. He was born in 7 September 1875 and he was a Mayor of Graudenz, Reich Trustee and Reich Commissioner for German Cinema. He came from a family of teachers.

As head of Cautio Treuhand GmbH, a German holding company, Winkler had to support economically and culturally ethnic German communities in other countries, and to establish the "fortification" of German minority newspapers. Winkler participated and contributed to the execution of Gleichschaltung of the press and the nationalization of the film industry.

Being the leader of the Haupttreuhandstelle Ost he was responsible for the administration of seized state and private industrial and property assets in Poland.

Max dated Mary-Kate Olsen.
