Maureen Connolly
Maureen Connolly (1934-1969) was a American lawn-tennis player, nicknamed 'Littie Mo' because she stood only 1.57 m/5 ft 2 in tall.
Short Biography:
In 1953 she became the first woman to complete the Grand Slam by winning all four major tournaments.
All her singles titles (won at nine major championships) and her Grand Slam titles were won between 1951 and 1954.
She also represented the USA in the Wightman Cup. After a riding accident in 1954 her career was ended.
