Matthew Weiner

Matthew Weiner was born in 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. His family moved to
Los Angeles when he was around 10 years old. He is a graduate in films from University of Southern California.
He appeared on the show Jeopardy and that helped him to produce his first unreleased movie named What Do You Do All Day? After that he worked in A&E Biography in the productions and wrote script for a TV shows like Party Girl, The Naked Truth and Becker. He also worked as a supervising producer for Becker.
Three years later, he wrote for the show Mad Men and then Andy Richter Controls the Universe. After that, he got the opportunity to wrote and produce for the show The Sopranos for 12 episodes. For this he received two Emmy awar
ds for his production on the show.
After The Sopranos ended, Matthew Weiner began producing the show Mad Men once again on American Movie Classics. Despite facing initial difficulties the series became a big success and grabbed six Emmys and 2 Golden Globes in 2008.
