Biography and Career
Mathilda May was born as Karima Mathilda HaÃ¯m, in Paris. She is a daughter of playwright Victor Haim, who is of Greek and Turkish descent whereas her mother is Swedish ballet teacher and choreographer Margareta Haim.
At the age of sixteen Mathilda May won the First Prize of the Paris Dance Conservatory. Later in 1989, she also won the Prix Romy Schneider.
Primarily she is a French artist and her work is for the European market. Her Non-French films in which she appeared in include Lifeforce released in 1985, in 1991 she was appeared in Naked Tango, Becoming Colette was the film released in 1991 and The Tit and the Moon was released in1994.

nown for her role in Lifeforce, in which she is nude for most of her screen time.
She also appeared in the 1996 space adventure game Privateer 2: The Darkening, which also featured Clive Owen, Christopher Walken, John Hurt, and JÃ¼rgen Prochnow. In 1998, she also played Isabella, a supporting character, in The Jackal, action film starring Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, and Sidney Poitier.
In 1988, she won Cesar Awards, France and later in 1989, she received Prix Romy Schneider for her great work as an actress.
Mathilda May has been divorced twice and has two children by Gerard Darmon, her second husband. Since 2000, she has been married to her third husband, Philippe Kelly.
