Marion Bartoli was born on October 2, 1984 in Le Puy en Velay, France. She became a professional tennis player in 2000.

Biography and Career :

Even if she was born in France she lives in Switzerland. At the age of six she started training and her father was the one who advised her to do so.

* Being a junior in 2001 she won the US Open junior title and the Australian Hardcourt Championships and Victorian Championships.

* She became a professional player and until now she didn't win any Grand Slam title. Regarding her WTA tournaments she won the first one on January 7, 2006 at Auckland. In the same year she won other two tournaments at Tokyo and Quebec. Her opponents in the finals were Aiko Nakamura and Olga Poutchkova.

* In 2007 she participated at both Austra lian Open and the French Open. She managed to play in the second round at the first one and in the fourth round at the second.

* Her double career goes well and she won four titles until now. She is placed on the third position of the doubles Top 100. The doubles tournaments she won were at Casablanca, Pattaya City and Prague.

She is working hard and wants to give her best. Even though she has not entered yet in the Top 100, we are sure that she is talented and has potential.
