Adopted name of Cyvia Rambam (1888-1982) was a British ballet dancer and teacher born in Warsaw, Poland, who became a British citizen in 1918. Short Biography:
One of the major innovative and influential figures in modern ballet, she was with the Diaghilev ballet 1912-1913, opened the Rambert School in 1920, and in 1926 founded the Ballet Rambert which she directed (renamed Rambert Dance Company 1987).
