In the 1990's she started her career as an actress and she appeared in many television series especially in Italy. Beside being an actress she is also a producer, script writer and model.
Some of her popular movies are : "Il Postino" and the James Bond film "The World Is Not Enough" and she had also a great role as a guest in "The Sopranos" or "The Simpsons".
On the 8th of October 1995 she married Giulio Violati and they have one daughter, named Giulia.
