l 2000, Manny played wonderfully and scored numerous averages, powers and home runs. Then he became entitled for playing under free agency and was selected by Boston Red Sox for eight years against a contract amount of $160 million.
But the pressure didn’t bend him. In 2004, he won the Fall Classic’s and then grabbed the World Series championship for his club, a feat that hadn’t been done in 86 years.
Manny didn’t always enjoy a happy relationship with the Boston Red Sox. He was often accused for not having the required focus on the field. Thus, his club traded him with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Even then, Manny hadn’t changed. In August 2008, he walked late into the field during the 9th inning with his dress unfastened.
