Mandy Amano became famous when she appeared in the Pepsi TV commercial in 2005.

Biography and Career :

She attended classes at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, Texas. After that she went to University of Southern California for two years between 1997 and 1999.
Mandy was a model before her appearance in the Pepsi TV commercial in 2005, but she wasn't very well known. Many doors were opened for her after that job. She has a contract with the fashion agency Wilhelmina and was featured in Maxim magazine's Girls of Maxim gallery in May 2005. She also started an acting career and played in movies like "Behind the Curtain" (2005), "Alone" (2005) and "Coyote Ugly" (2000).
The model is now (2006) dating artist David Mack.

Trivia :

- She is a Wilhelmina model and has modeled for Billy Tucci's "Shi" comic book.
- She is half-Japanese and half-Irish.
- Her father is Jeff Amano, a writer-artist and creative dynamo at Beckett Comics.
- She served as the inspiration behind the character of "Lady Fujiko" in the highly anticipated comic book Roninhood (May 7, 2005).
- A popular fan blog site named "That Pepsi Girl" is exclusively about her.
