Biography and Career

Malese Jow was born with a name Elizabeth Melise Jow on February 18, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S. Jow's father is Chinese American while her mother is Caucasian with Cherokee heritage. She has 3 siblings that include: 2 brothers and 1 sister.

In September 2004, Malese Jow made her debut as an actress and for the very first time starred as Geena Fabiano in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous. The teen sitcom earned Jow several Young Artist Award nominations and made her famous among the youth.

Malese Jow also starred as guest star as Ruby Donahue in the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place in the episode, Movies and is reccurring as Hannah on The Young and the Restless.

In the second season of iCarly, she guest starred as Carly's look alike in the episode, iLook Alike. She also guest starred as Rachel in the episode, He Could Be the One, on Hannah Montana. Malese was also featured in Mitchel Musso's music video, The in Crowd as one of the hip hop group members.

Malese is also appearingon CW's hit new series Vampire Diaries. She is also anxiously awaiting her third supporting lead role in a feature film as Alice in Social Network which was written by Aaron Sorkin and will be directed by David Fincher and released in 2010.

Malese also embarked on her newest venture as a songstress and songwriter and signed a development and production deal with Sphere Productions, headed by PJ Bianco.

Her vocal style is an appealing blend of edgy pop and rock that represents the sound of tomorrow. In her original song lyrics, Malese embraces life's experiences of what is important to her personally, like love, breakups, and friendships.

Although she is still young, she has a unique ability to capture the depth of adulthood in her writing.
