Ludwig Mond (1839-1909) was a German chemist who perfected a process for recovering sulphur during the manufacture of alkali.Short Biography:
In 1873, he helped to found the firm of Brunner, Mond and Co, which pioneered the British chemical industry.
He moved to England in 1862, and became a British subject in 1867. His son Alfred Mond, lit Baron Mekhett (1868-1930) was a founder of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI).
