Lou Doillon was born on September 4, 1982, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France. Her father is the famed French director Jacques Doillon and her mother is renowned actress Jane Birkin.

Being associated with a family who were so closely related to the world of acting, Lou’s acting career began when she was just 5 years of age. In 1987, she acted for the first time in the movie “Kung-Fu Master” with her mother. As she grew up, Lou started becoming a rebel. She had tattoos and piercings all over her body. Apprehending an unwanted turn in his daughter’s character, Jacques Doillon put Lou in his next film “Trop (peu) d’amour”. Lou played a wonderful role in the film and it went on become a big success.
