Lisa Zane (born as Elizabeth Frances Zane) was born in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. on April 5, 1961 to founders of medical technical school William George Zane, Sr. and Thalia. Lisa Zane is the sister of actor Billy Zane. Lisa Zane is known as being an American actress, songwriter, recording artist and also singer.

Because of her Greek family descendants, Lisa speaks fluently Greek language.
Lisa studied drama at Vassar College.

She debuted in her career in 1989 with a role in Heart of Dixie movie and also in Gross Anatomy in the same year. Then followed other movie interpretations in Freddy Dead: The Final Nightmare, Bad Influence and Cruel but Necessary.
Lane appeared in many television series: L.A. Law, Profit, Roar and Dinatopia. Lisa was the voice of She-Hulk in The Incredibl e Hulk and Charley in Biker Mice from Mars.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded Lisa as one of their songwriters of the year.
She is not married but is known that she dated costar Hearth Ledger in the time that they were filming Roar.
