Lisa Scott Lee (full name Lisa Michelle Scott-Lee) was born on November 5, 1975 in St Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales. She is a Welsh singer and a graduate of the Italia Conti Academy stage school, who is best known for her five years with one of the most successful UK pop groups of all time, Steps.
Biography and Career :
Her first big step in her career happened immediately after graduation when she became a member of the most successful UK pop groups of all time, Steps, for about five years.
She started her showbiz career managing 3SL, a group formed by her brothers. After a little success their label dropped them and they split up. Lisa decided to start a solo singer career and in 2003 she recorded her debut single called "Lately" and the single became number 6 on the singles
chart.
After a few months her label, Mercury Records, produced her second single "Too Far Gone" and it entered charts as number 11. She renounced at her contract with Mercury Records after a conflict and in 2004 she realized a new single in collaboration with Intenso Project called "Get it on".
In the summer of 2005 she started filming for the show "Totally Scott Lee", a version of "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" which was about her effort to put her career back on track.
She signed with a small records label called Concept Records and recorded a new single "Electric" but it was a failure and Lisa got three Naomi Awards: Worst British Female Solo Artist, Worst Pop Act and Worst British Single.
In 2007 her debut album called "Never or Now" appeared in South Africa produced and was produced by Sheer Music.
