Lisa Maffia was born on June 16, 1979 in London, United Kingdom. She is a British musician who first came to the public's attention as the main female member of So Solid Crew.

Biography and Career :

She has an African father but she was raised by her Italian mother in a house in south London. When she was a kid she was a good student and she started to sing from an early age influenced by singers like Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Whitney Houston.

At the age of 16 she began to take music lessons and planned to became an architect but she had some behavior problems and she even got pregnant and gave birth to a girl named Ch elsea.

Her career started in 1990 when she became a member in So Solid Crew a group of London singers, producers and MCs. She had a lot of success with the group but after some scandals the group started to go down and Lisa decided to start a solo career son in April 2003 she recorded her first single "All Over" and after this "In Love" which became two of the most sold singles in 2003.

In the same year in August appeared her debut album called "First Lady". After this she made her own records label called "Maffia Recordz", to which she has signed acts such as Northstar Ent, Flirta D, Romeo and Youngstarz.
