Linda Ronstadt was born in Tucson, Arizona, U.S. on July 15, 1946 to prosperous machinery merchant Gilbert Ronstadt and homemaker with a gift for science Ruth Mary Copeman Ronstadt. Linda Ronstadt is known as being American singer and record producer.

Up to age 10 she was influenced in her future career by the many types of music listened in her house by her family.

When Linda was 14, the Ronstadt siblings formed a folk trio. They were playing in fraternity houses, coffeehouses. After she graduated the University of Arizona she decided to move in Los Angeles where she began her professional career as a singer but more popular: interpreter of songs.

Because during her career, Linda has reinvented her style whenever she thought necessary she collaborated with artists from differe nt musical areas as: Frank Zappa, Rosemary Clooney, Philip Glass, Gran Parsons and others.
Besides her vocal qualities Linda Ronstadt also plays guitar and percussion.
Linda was called Queen of Rock and First Lady of Rock being the highest paid rock singer in history.

Linda Ronstadt earned ten Grammy Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, an Emmy Award and many gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums internationally.
Linda Ronstadt was not married but she has a known relationship with Jerry Brown, a democratic presidential candidate. After this Linda was engaged with Star Wars director, George Lucas.
