Linda Farris Curtz was born in beautiful country of Dover, Delaware. Linda started her career with modeling and participated in Miss America in 2005 and then moved on to become a news reporter, anchor and producer.
Career:
Linda won the Miss Delaware Contest in 2004 and entered Miss America contest in 2005 hosted at Atlantic City. There she was a Finalist for Quality of Life Award. She did not win the competition but she was the only Miss Delaware to make it so far in a beauty pageant. In order to win the crown of Miss Delaware Linda competed four times. In 2001, she did not make it in the finals. In 2002 she was the fourth runner up to beautiful Shoha Parekh.
In 2003 she became the first runner up to gorgeous Erin Williams. All the years she participated she performed a
singing talent however during the American Pageant she decided to give her fifteen years of Ballet dancing experience try and she performed marvelously then. Being the Quality of Life finalist Linda passed her year of service with “Alzheimer Disease Awareness and Advocacy” winning a National award for her service. She still serves in the same association and has even set up a Miss Delaware scholarship Organization.
After giving up her crown as Miss Delaware she pursued her career and received her bachelor degree in “Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Consumer Economics” from prestigious University of Delaware in 2006 and in 2008 she did her post graduation in “Masters of Business Administration” from famous Goldey Beacom College.
From June 2005 to January 2009, Linda as an anchor, host, reporter and producer with Comcast Network’s CN8 Comcast Newsmaker interviewing locally famous people and politicians, covering special events and entertaining at events.
From April 2009 to April 2010 she joined WNDT, the ABC affiliate in Salisbury, Maryland as a morning news anchor and reporter.
Currently, she is the Director of Public Relations and Special Events for Kent County Tourism in Dover, Delaware.
