Lilia Osterloh was born on April 7, 1978 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. She is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

She began playing tennis and in 1997, at the age of six and when she was nineteen, she became a professional tennis player. Three persons are taking care of her training and they are her coaches, Gery Riedl, Ola Malmqvist and John Hubbell.

On April 23, 2001 she was placed on the 41st position in Top 100 and this was the highest position she has ever reached. When she is not on the tennis court she is skiing, shopping, going to movies, traveling and reading. Linus and Yolanda are her parents and Gina is her sister.

Until now (2007) she has won three ITF single tournaments, one WTA doubles tournaments and six ITF single tournaments. More than one mil lion dollars were earned until now just from tennis. Between 1999 and 2002 she qualified at the Australian open and played in the first round before being eliminated.

At Roland Garros she played in the first round between 2000 and 2002 and in 2005, and in 1999 in the second round. At Wimbledon and US Open she had her best performances at a Grand Slam event after she reached the fourth round in 2000.

In 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 she played at Wimbledon in the first round and in 2001 into the third. At the US Open she played for the first time in 1996 when she reached the second round. The same performance was achieved in 2001.
