Li Na was born on February 26, 1982 in Wuhan, Hubei, China. She is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

She is a talented tennis player who became professional in 1999. Between that year and 2004 she won 20 tournaments and 18 double-titles.

* In her first professional year she won the tournaments at Shenzen and Westende.
* 2000 was a fructuous year for her because she won seven tournaments: Boca Raton, Nanjing, Shenyang, Dalian, Seoul, Ho Chi Minh City and Civitanova. Year after year her titles came and she became more popular.
* Two other tournaments were conquered in 2001 at Ho Chi Minh City and Guangzhou.
* In 2004 she entered for the first time in Top 100. 2004 also came with other five titles at Midland, B eijing, Tongliao, Wulanhaote, Beijing (indoors) and Shenzhen.
* In 2006 she participated at three Grand Slam tournaments: at the French Open she played in the third round, at the Wimbledon she played in the quarter-finals and at US Open she played in the fourth round.
* Next year she played at the Australian Open in the fourth round, but unfortunately, lost to Martina Hingis.

In 2007 she managed to win the 16th position of the Top 100 - her highest position so far. She worked hard, hoping to become a legend. We wish her luck and stay healthy, because this way she can continue her great career.
